Love Poems by a Guest Author

I want to be lost inside your eyes
where no one else is around.
Kissing your lips tenderly
is all I want to do.
My hear beats only
because of you.
-----

I can tell when something's wrong.
Your eyes tell on you.
You say, "I'm ok."
But I know it's not true.
Babe, you know I can make it better.
This love we share will last forever.

--------

I'm sorry I can't see you.
My heart feels like its ripped in two.
I'm missing you more than ever before.
Can't stop thinking about the fun we have
But weekends will come and I will go.
But you should remember I'm never really leaving you.
Just remember the times we had all of the good and bad.
Just remember that I'm never really leaving you. I love you.

Less than Epic

Talking, mumbling
Murmur in the air
Moving song
in the background
Making the moment
more epic than it is

The Rooms

The kitchen is where we stand and talk
The living room is where we sit and gawk
The bedroom is where dreams come true
The office is where documents accrue
The rooms are where are lives play out
The rooms are nothing when we are out.

The Wind

Tangling, detangling, hair in the wind
Stuck in my chapstick
Again
Forced by Nature
Forced by some energy
Wish it would stop
JUST STOP
then
Silence
Slow motion
And then ZOOM
back to reality

The Long Hours

The long hours are strings
They stretch and hold my universe together
The wind and intertwine
They knot and tangle up.
The long hours are strings
They dance in the windy night
They are the nerves along my spine
They are the connecting thoughts
The long hours are strings
They travel to and fro
They carry voices across the way
They sway and then they fray

W. B. Yeats

Welcome, friends, fiends, and followers.
My name is Katie Orlando and I have come to play show and tell.

First, I have brought a quote to share with everyone.

- Out of the quarrel with others we make rhetoric; out of the quarrel with ourselves we make poetry- W.B. Yeats

And now that I have shared someone's something I will share a little something of my own.

Tell Me

Tell me I'm not alone
I'm more than ordinary
I'm sleeping with the phone
Waiting to hear from clarity

The dimples in my cheeks
The crinkle in your nose
We laugh for days and weeks
As our love does grow

I go to water it sometimes
Not too much, for it might drown
Not too little, for it might die
And we dance upon the ground

Tell me I'm not alone
I'm more than what I feel
I'm silent on the phone
Waiting to see if this is real
